Elisabeth Elliot was a bestselling author, radio host, and speaker and the wife of Jim Elliot, who, together with Nate Saint, was one of five missionaries speared to death in 1956 while attempting to make contact with members of the Auca/Waodani tribe in the Amazonian jungle of Ecuador.
